Dating with fresh armpits
One of the biggest turn-offs on a first date is smell, which is why we lent a hand in love. We took to the streets of Utrecht and Amsterdam and treated thousands of passers-by to free mini-deos. So everyone could go into their date fresh on Valentine's Day. Or without a date, just smell good and possibly score a date that way.
Keep your lover close, but Lekker closer :)
We started at the start-up campus Dotslash in Utrecht and continued our love journey to the Gerard Douplein in Amsterdam. In matching and homemade (sustainable yay!) Valentine's outfits, teammates handed out pots of deodorant with the colours of the rainbow. The coloured pots symbolise our love for anyone with armpits.
"Our deodorant is special because it is 100% natural, vegan and super effective. Our slogan is not for nothing: smells delicious, works like a tierelier.", says our founder Dewi.
But how important is scent when dating?
Body odour affects who we are attracted to. Researchers noticed back in 1995 that this is often an opposite body odour to our own. By using perfume, you hide your own body odour, which may cause you to miss out on the love of your life.
What to do? Because dating is exciting and makes for sweaty hands and armpits! Of course, an unfresh scent is not helpful either. So swap your perfume for some deodorant. For example, one with a neutral scent. This way, you go into your date feeling fresh and confident and you let your body odour do its job!
