Struggle with sensitive pits? Well, we are here to tell you that there's a secret ingredient which is extra sensitive to your needs and offers the full protection you expect from a deodorant. A baking-soda free formula made with.... zinc salt!
Without baking soda
This secret ingredient is... zinc salt. You're probably thinking, "What's that?" We understand that, because this is not an ingredient you see every day. That is why we would like to explain to you what zinc salt is.
Also known as zinc salt
Zinc ricinoleate is a 100% natural ingredient made from salt. It contains many minerals such as calcium and iron, therefore it has a calming effect on your skin. After months of testing different formulas, we discovered that the power combination of zinc salt and cornstarch helps to neutralize odour and absorb moisture. This formula is also very gentle on the most sensitive skin types and does not cause irritation.
Natural deodorant without baking soda: How does it work?
Baking soda is the more commonly chosen ingredient for natural deodorants as it’s a highly effective deodorizer and can combat the most pungent of smells. However, people with sensitive skin can sometimes experience an irritation due to the ingredients’ high pH level.
The Sensitive Skin Soft Bamboo deodorant is closer to your body’s natural pH level. This means that it’s gentler to your skin and won’t cause a reaction.
Do you now experience irritations from baking soda?
If you experience a reaction caused by a baking-soda based formula, stop using the deodorant. Here are some useful tips to calm and rebalance your skin:
1. Cleanse the area with diluted apple cider vinegar. Dilute 1 tablespoon of the vinegar in half a cup of water and gentle apply to affected area. Let set for a minimum of 30 mins before rinsing off.
2. Apply a cool compress like ice. This can have a numbing effect and relieve some of the discomfort.
3. Moisturize the area with coconut or sunflower oil. Take a few drops of the oil and gently massage on and let set for 15-30 minutes and then rinse off.
