DIY: Make colored lip balm in 3 steps
Written by Amy Ekinci.
Do you like hydrated, buttery soft lips, but are you also a fan of a tan? In this super easy DIY we tell you how you can give your lip balm a colorful upgrade in 3 steps.
This is what you need:
- A saucepan
- A bowl
- A knife
- A spoon
- Natural lip balm from The Lekker Company
- Natural lipstick of your choice, we used the Boho Green Make-up lipstick

That's how you do it
Step 1
Fill the saucepan with water, put on high heat and wait for the water to boil. Then lower the heat and place the bowl in it. Make sure that the bowl is not submerged in water. It's okay if it sticks out a bit, as long as the bottom of the dish touches the water it's fine.
Step 2
Scoop some lip balm out of the jar with a spoon. Also cut off a piece of lipstick. Put this together in the bowl. Melt it au bain-marie and stir it well in the meantime. The proportions are to your own preference. The more lipstick you add, the darker your lip balm will end up being.

Step 3
When the lip balm and lipstick have completely melted and become one, pour it back into the pot. Let it harden on the counter for about 20 minutes. Can't wait? Then put the jar in the fridge for about 5-10 minutes. The lip balm should set but still be spreadable.
Voila! You have now created nourishing lip balm in your favorite color.
